Sustainability

As a building material, solid wood is far more sustainable than other building materials: It is a renewable raw material and requires only a low energy input for its further processing. Around 33% of global CO2 emissions are caused by the building and housing industry. Using wood as a building material would significantly reduce these CO2 emissions.

Sustainability advantages

CO2 Bilance

One cubic metre of wood used in construction captures around one tonne of CO2. It can be recycled as a raw material or energy supplier and is therefore 100% bio-recyclable.

No third-party materials

A LinaHaus is pure wood. The LinaHaus elements consist of natural wood from PEFC-certified forests, no glue, foils or other synthetic building materials are used.

The cycle

Wood is an ideal recycling material, and LinaHaus is part of this cycle of sustainability.
